CELEBRITY GIST: Oilmoney Supports John Okafor, aka Mr. Ibu Nigerian Nollywood Actor’s Medical Bills

Nigerian Business Man, Alafaa Kariboye-Igbo aka Oilmoney, has supported the medical expenses of the popular Nollywood actor, John Okafor, whose stage name is ‘Mr. Ibu.’Oilmoney paid part of the bill via his foundation known as The Oil Money Foundation.

Ibu had on Wednesday appealed to Nigerians to come to his aid, noting that he does not want his legs to be cut off, following an undisclosed ailment that has befallen him.
Reacting to his appeal, the Oilmoney Foundation came to his rescue and settled part of his medical bills.Disclosing this on His social media platform, the foundation said: “Oilmoney Foundation is honoured to have extended support to Mr. John Okafor also known as Mr. Ibu, a renowned comedic icon, who has graced our screens and brought joy and laughter to countless homes over the past four decades.”

The foundation, a non-profit organisation designed to improve the lives of poor Nigerians and Africa through various programmes and initiatives, however, did not disclose the specific amount of the medical bills.It revealed that the recipient of the transaction is available. According to the transaction date on the document sent by the foundation, the funds were transferred on Wednesday 25th October.

The statement read: Oilmoney Foundation is honoured to have extended support to Mr. John Okafor, also known as Mr. Ibu, a renowned comedic icon who has graced our screens and brought joy and laughter to countless homes over the past four decades.“When we learned of his recent health challenges and the financial burdens associated with his medical treatment, we felt a deep sense of responsibility to assist in any way we could. We promptly paid off his entire medical expenses as of Wednesday.
